A Temporary Farewell, But Our Journey Continues

It’s been over 2 months since 110 Japan has closed and it’s incredibly humbling to receive so many messages about memories, encouragement, and what the future holds! We’ve been asked a lot of questions about what’s happening so we’d like to take a minute to address them.

Why did 110 Japan close? We were unable to reach a lease agreement for renewal. Had we taken on a new lease with the given terms and costs it’s unlikely we’d be able to remain for its entirety while providing the highest quality food – and that’s something we’d never compromise. Given the leasing hurdle, ownership saw different visions for the future and felt it was best to part ways and pursue those visions individually.

Yes, 110 Japan has closed permanently at the 179 Walt Whitman Rd. location. We will not be reopening there. Any future restaurant there will have no connection to 110 Japan or its food, staff, or management. It may still be the same concept but it will not be 110 Japan.

Yes, we do have another location! While we organize the launch for our next location, if you’re looking for a meal just as great and a night just as fun, we’d love to have you join us at TAKUMI Sushi & Hibachi in Bayshore, NY at the Westfield Mall.
